Agency: 150,000 tourists stranded in southern regions

MOSCOW, Feb 25 (PRIME) -- About 150,000 tourists are stranded in Russia’s southern regions, where the airports will not work until March 2, the Federal Tourism Agency said on Friday.

The agency is also compiling a list of people staying abroad because of the closure of the airports.

"According to the Federal Tourism Agency, about 150,000 tourists, including 25,000 people with package tours, are in the Russian regions where the work of the airports is suspended. Most of the tourists are in Crimea and the Krasnodar Region," the statement read.
